The LaMoure City Council met on Monday, June 12, 2023 at 5:30 pm at the City Council Room. Present were Clint Hoggarth, Lori Gentzkow, Vince Watkins, Greg Pedersen, Stuart Good, Steve Sandness. Also present were Jarrett Christoferson, Casey Klein, Bob Flath, Ron Paul, Art Hagebock, Brandon Reber and Dominic Hanson and Gina Haugen. Via conference call Kim Radermacher
The meeting was called to order at 5:30 pm.
Minutes: Pedersen moved to approve. Gentzkow second. Polled vote: all yes Financials: Gentzkow moved to approve. Good second. Polled vote: all yes.
Bills: Pedersen moved. Steve second. Polled vote: all yes
Auditors Bond: Gentzkow moved to approve. Watkins second. Polled vote: all yes.
OLD BUSINESS:
Removal of Old buildings on Center Ave: Received 2 bids, Klein’s Loader & CFC bid $160,000.00 on the removal. They were present to answer any questions. The basement floor will be able to stay in place, the rest of the building will be removed. Roughly 2 weeks to remove. Kim will draw up a contract for the removal of the property. Klein & Christopherson left at this time.
Discussion: Steffes Bid was $183,000. Pedersen moved to accept the bid presented by Klein’s Loader Service & CFC for $160,000 upon entering into an appropriate contract by Klein & Christoferson. Sandness second. All yes. Motion passed.
Engineer Report: Tank: The current tank fix is still not holding water. Plan to contact Ohnstad Twitchell on Monday to move forward with action with the bond company.
Committee Updates: Gravel roads: Greg states they need to be repaired and reshaped and re-graveled. Want to have Heath price out repair and re gravel of them.
Police Report: Helped with eviction. Vision Zero received a grant for trikes for teen safety driving. Chiefs conference coming up the 27th.
Permits: Harvey Liebold – garage – Pedersen moved to approve. Watkins second. Polled vote, all yes.
Kindelspire : roof & windows – Gentzkow moved to approve. Sandness second. Polled vote. all yes.
Paul: storage shed – Gentzkow moved to approve. Pedersen second. Polled vote: all yes.
Rott: attached garage. Pedersen moved to approve, Sandness second. Polled vote: all yes.
AgCountry: New building -Gentzkow moved to approve. Good second. Polled vote: all yes. Motion passed.
They have also asked to vacate the portion of the alleyway where the new building is.
Lazy Pair: off-site permit for Alumni Banquet at Bank North Mall on June 24 & Liquor license for
7/1/2023-12/31/2023 – Gentzkow moved to approve both. Sandness second. Polled vote, all yes. Motion passed.
