The LaMoure City Council met on Monday November 10, 2025, at 5:30 pm in the City Council Room at the City Office. Present were Clint Hoggarth, Lori Gentzkow, Greg Pedersen, Brad Nogosek, Dominic Hanson, Art Hagebock, Heath Schaffer, Stuart Good, Trigg Baker, Jen LeBlanc, Brandon Reber, Kasey Bitz, Chad Troitte via Conference Call Kimberly Radermacher

Minutes: Gentzkow moved to approve minutes as presented, Baker second. Polled vote, all yes.

Municipal Judge Pay: Baker moved to increase municipal judge pay rate to state rate: from $100 to $172. Pedersen second. Polled vote: all yes.
Public Comments: Kasey Bitz presented a letter from James & Connie Bitz to Stuart Good as the LaMoure Airport Authority representative.
Engineers Report: Brandon introduced Chad Troitte with Core & Main to present meters and the automatic readers. 2 ways of reading the meter. Load a route in a handheld device and drive around and collect the readings each month. AMI is automated meter reading; the meters can be read hourly. The meters communicate with a base station and then it is sent to the regional network infrastructure. The readers hook into the meter, 15 year warranty with 5 year graduated. Alarms can help with leaks and continuous flow advantages leak detection, alerts, time management. The committee will review and report back to the council.
Brandon: Nogosek move to approve the pay application of $56,582.50 for Naastad for contracted work plus the price increase due to the delay increases. The work on the tower is now complete. Baker second. Polled vote: all yes.
Committee: The dump ground will close for the season on Saturday, November 22, weather permitting.
Police: Quotes for new radios with the siren program, all first responders will be changing systems. $13,000- $18,000.
Permits: LaMoure Foods & The Bullpen liquor license –Baker moved to approve & Good second. Polled vote: all yes except Gentzkow, who abstained.
The Bullpen: container permit – Good move to approve. Gentzkow second. All yes. Motion passed.
The Other Bar – offsite permit for American Legion bingo night- Gentzkow moved to approve. Nogosek second. Polled vote. All yes.
Local permits have been issued to the Happy Senior Club and American Legion for Bingo night.
Other: Congratulations to the athletic teams on their success. We are proud of the volleyball team, the cross-country team and a special shout out to Lulu Loegering for placing 5th at the state tournament. And best of luck to the football team on their bid for the state championship this week.
