The LaMoure City Council met on Monday, October 9, 2023, at 5:30 pm. Present were Clint Hoggarth, Stuart Good, Greg Pedersen, Lori Gentzkow, Trigg Baker, Dominic Hanson, Heath Schaffer, Art Hagebock, Bob Flath, Ralph Friebl, Gina Haugen. Present via conference call Brandon Reber.
Meeting was called to order at 5:30 pm by Mayor Hoggarth
Minutes from September Pedersen moved to approve the minutes. Gentzkow second. Polled vote: all yes. Special meeting: Gentzkow moved. Pedersen second. Polled vote: all yes. Financial Report: Good moved to approve. Pedersen second. Polled vote: all yes. Bills: Gentzkow moved to approve. Good second. Polled vote: all yes.
Committee: Pedersen states that the committee would like to approve the contract with ND Recycling & Sanitation to start on January 1, 2024. Good asked about Waste Management quote, WM was not able to get the quote by tonight. ND Sanitation and Recycling will pick up recycling twice per month. Most of the commercial accounts will be lower than current pricing. Friebl presented additional information on his service. Baker moved to approve the bid from ND Recycling and Sanitation. Pedersen second. Polled vote: all yes. Motion carried. Friebl left at this time.
Lori Gentzkow – personnel committee recommendation type rates here. Raises to start November 1, 2023. Pedersen moved to accept. Good second. Polled vote: all yes.
Engineers report: Reber reported on the tank. Meyer is working on the third-party inspection, to start later this week. Some leakage continues. Naastad is ready to go as soon as inspection is complete. Reber left at this time.
Public works: Generator to the pump house, fuel pump went bad. Took to Fargo to refurbish. Flowerpots to be removed this week.
Police report: Vision Zero kickoff at the school and continued training with the schools.
