The LaMoure City Council met on Monday, October 14, 2024 at 5:30 pm in the City Council Room.
Present: Clint Hoggarth, Lori Gentzkow, Jen LeBlanc, Greg Pedersen, Stuart Good, Trigg Baker, Brad Nogosek, Heath Schaffer, Dominic Hanson, Gina Haugen
Present via conference call: Kimberly Radermacher, Brandon Reber
Meeting called to order at 5:30 pm.
Minutes: Gentzkow had a correction on DelaBarre permit, will add shed to the presented minutes. Gentzkow moved to approve, Nogosek second. Polled vote: all yes.
Financial Report: Baker moved to approve, Nogosek second. Polled vote: all yes.
Bills: Gentzkow moved to pay bills as presented, Good second. Polled vote: all yes.
The list of utility bills to be assessed to property tax was presented: Gentzkow moved to approve to send the assessments to the county, Baker second. Polled vote: all yes.
Lease agreement with the county where the city repeater is located. The lease is $1500 for a one-year period. Gentzkow, Pederson second. Trigg and Clint will research. Motion rescinded by Gentzkow to discuss options with the county, tabled until November.
Engineer Report: Water Tank: proposed fix to tank has been done, there are still issues, meeting with attorney to discuss status.
Valve house: we are going to proceed in keeping the valves to have the ability to run water through the valve house in case of need it would be available
Lead service lines: in process of sending letters to the accounts that did not respond
Committee Updates:
-Financial/ personnel committee recommends increasing city forester wages from $1200 to $2000 annually. The amount of work involved is more than originally expected. Pedersen moved to approve the increase, Nogosek second. Polled vote: all yes.
Public Works: Heath has talked with rural water about the valve house, we won’t need the pumps will have enough pressure.
Police Update: 11 calls for service
Permits: Chuck Dathe – garden shed – Baker moved to approve, Gentzkow second. Polled vote: all yes.
Easement on property owned by Shirley Aberle – the mobile home sits on the street right of way, Pedersen moved to approve presented easement, Nogosek second. Polled vote: all yes.
